Are you a content marketer?

Have you promoted your content and got benefit out of it? If you have done so, you must already be a fan of content marketing. Now, what if I say, can you do content marketing without content?

Is it even possible?

Perhaps not.

But content marketing can surely be done without articles. That is without written content. There are a number of other things by which content marketing can be done. Here is a sort list of 7 types of content that can be used to do content marketing.

1) Videos – Content marketing can be done via videos.

Youtube is huge but it is not the only social channel out there. Even facebook allows video uploads. Then we have the new social networks such as, Vine or Instagram.

Give out some of your best videos for free. Make sure to provide something of real value, not the intros or trailer kind of videos. If you are marketing a video course, give out your best few videos out for free and see how it snowballs on the

internet and fetches you several thousand targeted visitors waiting for the rest of your course. Plenty of them will buy the rest of your videos. You have already showed them how good your videos are by giving away the best of it for free.

2) Infographics – Infographics was once considered as the most valuable form of visual content. It was expensive too. At this moment, infographics are neither that valuable nor that expensive. There are server dozens of them going live every day. Infographics are meant to be distributed for free, so it does not really make an impact if you give it out for free, because that is what everyone does.

Your best chances with infographics are to make it stand out, both design and data wise. Then promote it. Infographics spreads like viral content – it really spreads. With infographics you get natural links and mentions and a lot of traffic.

3) eBooks – eBooks are great for content marketing.

This is your opportunity to send plenty of content to your targeted audience. It is generally harder to get someone to read an article, but with an ebook, it is much easier. If they download it and they find the first section to be valuable, they will read it in full.

People read books in their leisure with a peaceful mind. They will grasp much more. Articles are for skimming, you cannot really feed too much of information from an article. They will just move on to the next web page if you overload them with a particular article.

4) Stats and Reports – Stats helps a lot. If you do a survey or come out with a really good report on something that is backed up with data, plenty of online publications will cover it for you.

One of the best things about stat is that you get quoted a lot. Every time a stat is mentioned, you get a quote. This is great for brand and reputation building.

5) Newsletters – You might think that news letter is not that valuable as there are already so many that goes out every day. Most people just trash it like spam. How can it help you with content marketing?

Newsletters reach the inbox of your targeted audience. This surely has a great deal of value. When you are doing content marketing with your newsletter and not sending sales pitches, your newsletters will surely become much more valuable for your audience.

From there on, one just needs to keep sending out the best of the content via newsletters. Keep the pitches to a bare minimum and keep sending out the good stuff.

6) Free Consultancy – Provide free consultancy to your targeted audience. With consultancy, the chances of conversion increase by many folds, as you get an opportunity to really interact with your clients.

If you talk to your clients and help them out via a one-on-one chat or call, the relation you build is the strongest possible one. They see the value in you and your information and they get to check it out for free.

7) Free entry into a paid system – Do you have good content inside a paid forum or a membership site? Give something out for free and let the masses get a taste of what you provide inside the password locked system. Let them taste the quality of your content. Once they get it for free and they understand that there is much more inside, many of them will convert into a paying customer.

Content Marketing is about giving something of value for free. You provide an excellent piece of content for free and your target audience gets a taste of your quality. They know that you are the makers of quality stuff and they keep getting hooked into your content further.
