Using Content to launch your new Products, by Brian Newmark

There is one thing on the internet that can be pushed as much as you like without being self-promotional.

It is certainly not your new product.

Content. There’s just one word for it.

An informational, entertaining, catchy and well presented piece of content can be promoted as much as you like, and more you promote it, better it gets.

This content, being natural and high quality, can be used to promote your new products in many ways.

Here, in this article, we will discuss several ways by which content can be used to promote new products.

Social Content:

Social media is about micro blogging. The updates here need to be quick, small and catchy, preferably with an image or a video.

On sites like facebook, hosted media tends to get more value rather than media syndicated from another channel. Twitter on the other hand is quick and unless you tweet often and at the right time, your tweets will be missed. Other social sites like Pinterest need to be targeted to women, on Linkedin one needs to be professional and talk more about business.

But there is one thing common, to make your updates liked, tweeted and shared, you have to first make a strong social profile of your own. Once you build an influential profile, from there on sharing your products once in a while and getting some sales is surely possible.

Blog Post:

Whatever is the business model or niche of your products, a primary business blog is surely a must.

Your blog is where your main content has to stay. One needs to build a reputation, following and brand visibility on their blog. This is possible with a combination of marketing, great content and consistency. Great content is not enough if the blog is not updated at least two to three times a day.

Once your blog gains some loyal readers and a community is built around it that is the time when new products can be launched on the blog.

News letter:

Newsletters are still very much in fashion. There is a reason why newsletters work. Email reaches the inbox of your audience, which is a place where no other marketing can place you.

But making a newsletter responsive and building an audience around it is the hardest job online. It is far easier to click on the spam button, not even delete, rather than read boring content in an email. Inbox is a place of privacy and if your content is not interesting, it will surely be hated even by the most devoted of your fans.

But newsletters still work, because great content can make it work. And once you have a popular newsletter going on, it is time to capitalize on it and start marketing your products.

Guest Posts:

Guest blogging allows you to address an audience that does not belong to you. It gives you an opportunity to reach a new audience and capture their hearts with great content and make them your own.

Guest blogging might not help you to do direct marketing of your products but it can surely dive traffic to your site, get you more subscribers and followers, and build up your brand reputation among many other benefits. All this indirectly helps in marketing your products further.

Guest blogging can’t be successful without great content. It is the article which you post as a guest post that finally decides how successful your guest post will be.

Flagship Content:

Some content are far better than most regular articles. They are featured articles, they can’t be measured in quantity but surely they do boost up the quality of an entire blog.

You don’t need to post them every day, these are known as flagship content which is mostly used to display on the sidebar as the best resources of your blog or website. Such content attracts and retains users. They are complete in themselves so anyone reading those does not require reading up anything else as these provides complete information about the topic they cover.

It is also a common fact that such content are very nicely formatted, preferably with a small, quick find hashtag index via which one can navigate the article much easily and quickly. These are ever green content, so they do not have a time-bound limit and can stay on the blog forever.

On the internet, content marketing is the best way to promote or launch any new product. With great content not only promotion becomes easy but it also helps to reach an audience that is otherwise impossible. Content can spread really fast; it can catch the hearts of your audience which is much more, than to just earn a sale.

Great content gets continued support which in turn helps marketers to continue launching and selling new products and keeps things moving.
